Laser vein treatment of telangiectasia (spider veins or broken capillaries) on the face and chest of men and women is available using an NdYAG Laser. The laser technology treats facial and leg veins with comfort while promoting excellent patient satisfaction. Our laser vein removal process uses pulses of laser light at just the right wavelength to constrict the vessels responsible for face or leg veins, causing the vein to degenerate/collapse and visibly disappear.
The NdYAG Laser energy is delivered more slowly than the quick blast of earlier spider vein lasers, which caused blood vessels to rupture; resulting in bruising that lasted several weeks. Now the vessels are treated over a longer period of time and therefore stay intact during treatment. THIS MEANS NO BRUISING.
Good candidates for spider vein laser treatment have light to medium skin tone which is not tanned or recently exposed to the sun. Small spider veins and rosacea on the face can be effectively treated by the YAG Laser. Rosacea and diffuse redness can be best treated with a Photofacial OR IPL treatment. Large or varicose veins (blue in color) are not effectively treated by this method.

How do I know if I am a good candidate for this treatment?

Is the YAG Laser treatment painful?
The YAG treatment on the face feels like a small pinch, most tolerate it very well. The treatments to the legs are a bit more uncomfortable feeling like an elastic band snapping on the skin, most clients tolerate this well also.
How many treatments are required?
You can expect 2-5 treatments to each area treated.
What is the cost of laser spider vein treatment?
Cost may vary depending on the density of veins and size of area to be treated. However, as an estimate, you may expect $150 -$300 per treatment area. Consultations are complimentary and you will receive a firm cost during your consultation at Advanced Laser & Skin Center.
What are the Post Care instructions?
The most important post care instruction to know is that we recommend little to no heavy exercise for 4 days after having the spider veins treated, as pressure from exercise can open up these tiny vessels that we are working to collapse. Walking is allowed.
